Choices I

Mia opened her eyes and she could see the sun bright and shiny outside. She removed a piece of hair from her eyes, while looking around to recognize the place she was in.
Oh, yes... she recognized everything, but she could see that every object was a little different at daylight. In spite of that the mattress and the pillow smelled like she knew it would.

She sat down in bed and kept looking around. He was next to her, still sleeping profoundly. She was unable to touch him, because she didn't want to disturb his peace.
What a dilemma… she was tired of being in bed but that situation was so delightful.
Minutes later, she decided that she had to get out of that numbness; although it was pleasant she felt pressured to react.

She got out of bed and walked around the room touching softly with the point of her fingers every object to her right: the desk, the pile of paper sheets, the remote control, the television…
She looked through the window like she still didn’t know it was going to be a sunny day, at least outside. She stood in front of the closet’s mirror, contemplating her raw and verisimilar figure.

‘What a mess…’ she thought as she opened the closet’s door to see if he had any clothes that would suit her.
