MY LIFE

My life… what can I say about my life?
I was born in Lisbon in 1971, I had a good childhood, my parents always gave me love and everything they could afford. When I was a young boy, my parents had a very active social life.
At the weekends we always went somewhere, had big lunches or big dinners with a lot of friends, each one very different in their personalities, their backgrounds, there was a big variety of jobs like football players, Fado singers, etc.
I have a lot of good memories of my childhood. Sometimes I miss those days and we Portuguese have a very strong word for it that we call “saudade”.
Since I was young I’ve always read a lot of books that explained how things work, comic books, etc. I also miss my teens, the time when I started to go out at night, the first girlfriends, being drunk for the first time. The music I miss is that of the 80’s. I know that I can still hear that music but it’s not the same, as they say you are 16 only once.
I’ve always had a passion for cars so when I took my driver’s license in 1991, I bought a car. It was an old 1974 yellow Toyota. It was a great car, it was so fun to go out with my friends in that car we always laughed a lot they used to say that the brand new radio that I bought for the car was more expensive than the car itself.
I’ve made some great trips with my friends in that car from north to south.
Now at 36 years old, I wasn’t happy with my work it wasn’t enough, I needed more so I’m back to school, at the university to be exact. I left high school in 1991 so 16 years later here I am at F.C.S.H. facing a new challenge and I think of the future and the new challenges to come.
